As a child of God and as a disciple, are we absorbing the Word into our hearts and letting it direct our lives? Spend much time with someone and you will become more and more like him or her. This is true of time in God's Presence. If you are thrilled with your increasing fascination with Him and learning about Him, then it will show in your behavior, attitudes, and values. This will provide a very good reflection of His character and will likely have an impact on other lives. Such character traits as truly loving our Lord, living with complete honesty, caring about people, giving God first place in your daily life, and having victory over sinful habits will be an advertisement as to how God can make our lives meaningful and wonderful. Worldly pursuits, pleasures, and pre-occupations bring no lasting satisfaction and peace to a life. Any fun or joy from going the world's way fades quickly. Misery, too often, follows hard on the heels of worldly pleasures, succumbed to by giving in to unholy lusts. Sin has pleasures for a season (with consequences). At His right hand are pleasures forevermore! Selah! Growing in holiness wil bring joy forever. Living in sin ends in eternal sorrow. Ron
Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life. and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10b.)
And doesn't the enemy, satan, just keep us so busy that we just don't seem to have time to spend with our precious Savior; prioritizing our time is of utmost importance, especially in the day that we are living where our spiritual heritage is being torn down around us so quickly.
