Yesterday, we lamented over the many defections from Biblical Truth. We urged being constantly on guard, lest it happen to us. We emphasized how essential it is to know what we believe and be able to defend it. We stressed the need to be constantly delving into Scripture. We need to carefully study it and apply it. However, as our title suggests, there are two sides to this issue. Both are vital for strengthening our walk with Him. While we are developing in the areas mentioned, we need to go on the offensive. Satan's territory (people under his sway) can be taken. Souls in bondage to sin can be freed. Matthew 16:18 gives us Jesus' position on this: "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter (Stone or little rock), and upon this Rock (Himself) I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." There are ways for us to reach folks under Satan's control. Preaching, Bible Studies, tracts, friendships, evangelistic efforts are some of the means that we can use to rescue the enemy's victims. Failure to reach out in some way leaves us with a "Dead Sea" experience. Much is coming in but little or none is going out. This results in Spiritual stagnation and breeds "deadness." Find an outlet. This is a must for a disciple! Selah! The Presence of the Holy Spirit has been likened to a flowing river (John 737-39). Let's not allow obstructions in our lives hinder the flow. Ron
